Independent Facilitator

As a vendored Independent Facilitator under California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP), Theresa Sester supports Regional Center participants and their families in building and maintaining a truly person-centered life. Our role is to help individuals identify their goals, develop their Individualized Program Plan (IPP), and navigate the transition to — or sustainment of — a Self-Determination Program.

Services may include:

  • Helping individuals explore their vision for a meaningful life.
  • Facilitating person-centered planning conversations and meetings.
  • Supporting the development of spending plans and budgets aligned with the participant’s goals.
  • Connecting participants with service providers and community resources.
  • Collaborating with families, service coordinators, and Financial Management Services (FMS) providers.
  • Providing ongoing support and problem-solving as needs evolve.

We work directly with individuals and families to ensure that their voice drives the planning process, with respect for autonomy, dignity, and cultural values. Whether you’re just beginning your journey in Self-Determination or looking to strengthen your current program, we are here to help.
